The last three days

Well, spent two nights at Rainbow's End, an Escapee RV Park in Livingston TX. They have a medical care center there where an RVer who breaks a leg or whatever can go to recuperate. I checked into volunteering in exchange for lot rent. The 26 hours a week sounded fine, but then they said how you had to be on call 6 nights a week! Sorry, but not for me, plus sounds a bit much for a $280/month site. But I did like the park and people, especially a couple nice guys, Bob and Digby. I met them at the pork chop dinner, there was a table just for the singles! AND I was the only female, nice! Well these guys knew all about the combustion engine and I learned so much more about my rig. So the next morning as I was getting ready to leave I thought I better check the transmission fluid as I learned it should be checked as often as the oil and I hadn't since leaving Vermont. Anyway, it is a good thing Digby gave me his phone number (yeah, grin) because I couldn't insert the dipstick back in! Honest, it just would go in. And had to call a man to do it wouldn't you know. And before long there were three guys around my truck. One thing led to another and before you know it my engine wouldn't start. A fourth guy and his rachet set, the ignition whatsit had gotten loose. All was well and I was on my way to Conroe Tx where I am tonight. At a rally for RVing Women, about 70 women in their RV's, kinda neat.

ny-1Yep! All the guys around your home, helping you fix stuff, I am so impressed about the help and support that you get while RVing! Keep on that road, my friend, and when you find that settling spot you may spot a Chocolate lab attached to an older lady!
