A Tuesday in the life of Chris

Today I taught a neighboring RVer how to download movies illegally like I do, he and his wife were so greatful. I will have to check with them tomorrow to see how they are doing. I have students! They are the cutest, both in their mid-sixties, both first spouses died and about a year ago SHE called him up and asks him out!! She is a hoot, blond as all get out, a real free spirit. And is he ever a catch! Sweet and sensitive, a handiman and a poet, not bad to look at either. And they are so in love. They are from Indiana, he is temporarily laid off (company slow down), she is retired, so they wrote to tons of campgrounds anywhere warm asking to work in exchange for their campsite and this place was the first one that said yes so here they are. In a little RV just a few feet bigger, but a lot newer, than mine. And a minivan. And two dogs. Fred and Barb (their names, not the dogs).

Then a couple new guys moved in, weekend fisherman from Houston area, with their kids. Real nice people. As are most RVers.

I went into town and rode my bike again today. I am getting pretty good at it, can ride for an hour or more before I get tired. It was super nice, sunny, warm, people were actually sunbathing on the beach! Yesterday I tried riding my bike from the campground down some side roads and almost got killed by a pit bull who dashed out at me in full attack mode. DAMN! Of course I knew it was a residential/rural area and I wanted to carry a squirt gun filled with lemon juice, but no where could I find a squirt gun, not even WalMart. Easy enough to get a real gun around here!! Anyway luckily I carried rocks and got off one good one, must of hit him just right because it stopped him in his tracks thank goodness. Then I used my cell phone and called animal control!! They assured me they would take care of it, but I think I will stick to known bike paths from now on.
