Another day at the Wildlife Refuge

Yesterday I got to feed the Manatee and the Hippo (I assist in the programs).  Also saw the Sand Hill Cranes exchange parenting duties, as papa bird got on the nest to sit on the eggs for awhile, he oh so carefully turned each egg over first.  Oh, and there were about 100 wild Manatees in the Homosassa River and all of a sudden the water above and around them erupted as if it was boiling.  I never saw that happen before so I asked one of the Rangers and they said it was them mating.  Also on Sunday a Dolphin came up the river to feed for a while (they don't leave salt water too often, but they like the Mullet).
