Obama Inauguration Day
And here we are without a TV! Streaming video is problematic with my WiFi setup, so watching on the laptop was out. I remembered seeing that the local Chili's had TV in the bar so I called and asked if it was alright if three of us came to watch (and eat of course) and they were quite obliging. Our third compatriot was this wonderful lady, Kay Rutherford from Wisconsin. A PhD, RN and published author who we struck up a conversation with when we saw her and her truck with many peace and Obama bumper stickers on it at a nearby state park. She was tent camping for 6 weeks, touring the Texas Parks. A friendship ensued. So she met Andy & I at Chili's. Three grown women weeping tears of joy. It was marvelous!

Tears flowed with me too,... I was happy to be in the school cafeteria with grades 4-6,.. and they cheered. It's a new day for sure! About time.
