Trip into Mexico

Some friends I met at my previous campground were going into Mexico to get some dental work done and asked if I wanted to ride along. Indeed yes! It is a 3 hour trip from this area to Progresso Mexico, my assumption being it is the closest town of any size that is safe to cross into. We parked the car and walked a short ways. I guess the hassle of driving a car isn't worth it. We were greeted by soldiers with machine guns and armored tanks! They were pointing South. Anyway, we had a nice lunch in an upscale restaurant. Then I wandered around while waiting for them to get finished at the dentist. Lots of street vendors and beggars. Tons of pharmacies and dentists and souvenir shops. I only bought some pastry and some Amoxicillian. Then I went back to the dentist to wait and while there asked the receptionist if I could use the bathroom. Well! Let me just say that I would never get my teeth fixed there!! The bathroom was filthy, smelled of urine and there was no hot water. Yuk.

Sorry I can't add any pictures, I took a bunch but when I went to upload them I got this error message "file corrupted". Looks like the CD was scratched.
