Jekyll Island

A Southern Plantation.....

This Georgia barrier island was purchased by the Robber Barons of the 1880's as a winter home and exclusive club. Any unwanted visitors were shot by the private security guard. Here are some pictures of their "camps". After my tour I drove around the island and sat on the beach for a while. Then I met this lady, she was parked in her RV next to mine and we had a nice visit. She was my age, single w/ dog and staying in a nearby campground for the winter months ($450/month......not bad for a site that is five minutes from the ocean). She had a 2003 Born Free RV, one of the models that I was considering, so I got a tour. She was from Maryland and had been full timing for 5 years and is tired of it but doesn't know what else to do. Hmmmm???

Can't see you getting tired of it but if you do, you already have your house and you can come plug up here forever!
