My weekend

I left Newport on 9/19 at 6:30 in the morning and yet somehow it took me nine hours to get to Rhinebeck NY. A distance of about 300 miles. And I was even going 60mph! Oh well, must of been all those pit stops. When I got to the LOW (Loner's on Wheels) RV Rally, there were about 75 rigs parked at the Fair Grounds, but no one insight. Everyone was off on a boat ride on the Hudson River. Too bad I missed it. Finally a nice gentleman named Herb saw me wandering around aimlessly and got me parked, even helped with the leveling and hookups. People returned and dinner was roast turkey. I happened to sit at a table and no one talked to me. Awkward. I made 3 attempts. Oh well, their lose. The next day I went on a NY City tour bus and sat next to a very interesting lady named Karen, a retired postal worker from CA. She has been full time RVer for 4 years and besides traveling in her RV she also often takes overseas trips and cruises. She has been to Peru, Denmark, France and has a trip to Greece in the works. Just parks the RV in Escapee's Livingston TX Park for $50/mo and takes off. New York was actually neat, especially seen from the safety and comfort of a double decker bus. I will add a few pictures.

Hmmmm..... an RV group and nobody talked to you? That's so unusual. Absolutely their loss!
